Anyone washed and dried a uniqlo stretch down coat?

30 mins after I put on my brand new coat a bloody seagull has shat all over me. It's not spongable, it's everywhere :(. Usually I machine wash and tumble dry down with nikwax and a tennis ball but the label says hand wash and drip dry.

I washed mine on a hand wash setting with delicates soap. It's fine and the same as it was before washing.

How did you dry it, Ell?

You need to tumble dry it on low . It will come out as flat as a pancake . The only alternative to this is a very hot windy day on the line .

I never understand these labels , if you hand washed a down coat and let it drip dry without at least spinning it it would be completely ruined and flat and smelly!!

That's what I'm thinking, Hendricks. I always tumble dry down, but the label specifically says not to, which was what has thrown me.

I’m used to be a dry cleaner and most labels are wrong to be honest . 🙄🙄... I’ve washed and tumble dried hundreds of puffas and a lot of them said what yours did it dry clean or some other rubbish .

Ok, it has been through a delicates wash cycle (twice to get the stain off, even though the ahem 'solid matter' had been scraped off by DH). It's now going in the drier.
