Eyebrow dilemma

Hoping someone here has the answer for me!

I've always had light(ish) brown hair highlighted blonde so having darker tones means I have gotten away with filling my eyebrows in their natural colour which is quite dark.

Recently I've been building my highlights up so I'm now fully blonde and my eyebrows look ridiculous , I've tried using lighter product but you can see how much it doesn't match my dark eyebrow hair and it looks so silly!

I'm wanting to make my actual eyebrows lighter so that my lighter product matches and so that they suit my light hair , I would like them to remain a little darker than my hair as can't imagine peroxide blonde eyebrows would look attractive. How can I achieve this?

I know I could have simply googled this but would prefer been there done that kind of answers, if that makes sense!Grin

Leave them, dark brows and light hair is all kinds of sexy.

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful was it Grin

Leave them. Plenty of natural blondes have darker eyebrows. I'm
Not sure lightening eyebrows is a good idea for lots of reasons

tigerdog · 14/10/2017 08:31

I'm a natural dark blonde and my eyebrows are dark brown! I get my hair highlighted to make it slightly lighter too and my eyebrows tinted slightly darker to make them look fuller

tigerdog · 14/10/2017 08:32

Sorry - hadn't finished posting - so I agree with the others that you should leave them!

itsbetterthanabox · 15/10/2017 13:13

There is an eyebrow lightener. Some salons do it. Call around. You can have them lightened and then tinted light brown/dark blonde.

Lillygolightly · 15/10/2017 13:23

I'm blonde and my eyebrows are so dark they are almost black. It's not a problem

Consideringbeingamom · 15/10/2017 13:27

Yep I'm blonde with dark eyebrows and have had compliments. Each to their own though. There are ways to lighten them if you feel that they look too much? Really thick drawn on black eyebrows (like marker pen) that some young girls now have look ridiculous so I'm sure your natural ones will be much more subtle!

MotherofA · 15/10/2017 13:37

Fashion now is dark brows no matter your hair colour so yes, definitely leave them .

CourtneyLoveIsMySpiritAnimal · 15/10/2017 13:51

Leave them. I remember years ago watching Cat Deeley on the telly wondering why she looked so odd. Then it clicked that she’d dyed her eyebrows blonde to match her hair.

Don’t do it.

CourtneyLoveIsMySpiritAnimal · 15/10/2017 13:52

See also Jared Leto with blonde eyebrows just in case anyone thinks I’m being sexist etc.

Dustbunny1900 · 15/10/2017 14:49

Don't attempt. At worst you can go blind or get nasty chemical burns near delicate eye area (it's illegal for salons to color eyebrows here) or you could end up with brassy orange brows, or they could break off. I speak from experience. Don't attempt yourself. Dark brows are hot

ppeatfruit · 15/10/2017 15:01

Or get darker lowlights in your hair to blend in better with your eyebrows. I agree that bleaching your eyebrows would look strange. (and be unsafe).

pregz · 15/10/2017 20:57

Okay definitely taking the advice to leave them be as knowing my luck something would definitely go wrong!

I wish I could just leave them without filling them in but I have some unfortunately placed scars which makes them grow in really patchy and I love using make up , maybe I will instead pop along to a nice beauty counter and ask them too match my perfect colour and show me how to fill them in very lightly and more natural looking so I don't look too crazy with my dark intense eyebrows and blonde hair!

(Im not too great at it so will admit can look very intense when I catch myself in the mirror come afternoon after shoving my face on quickly in the morning , lol!)

Thanks girls Grin

Op what do you use to fill them in ? Pencil can look really harsh , powder is better for a softer look . Most places do a kit with a small brush and powder . I used to used this http://www.boots.com/smashbox-brow-tech-to-go?cmmmc=bmmmGoogle+Boots+PLAsAs--BAU---C=PLA+-+OffersSmashbox&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj6HA19701gIVDxbTCh2xYg4KEAQYAyABEgIAgvDD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

It is really good but it seemed to run out fast so I now use a benefit powder kit .

pregz · 16/10/2017 11:17

I use Anastasia Beverly Hills pencil so maybe that's where I'm going wrong , heard great things about benefit eyebrow products and there's a counter not too far from me I will definitely pop in on my day off this week!
