Weekend away - need help planning my wardrobe

Going to a nice hotel for the weekend in a few weeks time and I'd very much like to buy a couple of new pieces so as I can look smart and co-ordinated, rather than thriwn together. It's very much a family weekend so daytimes will be jeans and boots. I'm okay for the jeans and boots but have fallen into a real rut with tops, tending to live in bretons during the summer months and then chunky sweaters or cashmere rollnecks in winter, many of which need refreshed.

I have one evening to dress for and haven't anything to wear and no real idea what to buy. Was thinking maybe black jeans and a dressy top - at least I could then get wear out if the jeans after the weekend. Maybe coated skinnies or are they a bit dated now?

Can anyone make any suggestions for nice daytime looks (esp tops) and an evening outfit.

Thanks!

Black skinnies & a silk blouse would be perfect for what you've described. The Mint Velvet black skinnies with zip pockets look good. I wouldn't go for coated, personally.

Thanks Edina ... had a look at the MV skinnies and they look perfect. Silk blouse would be lovely ... off now to find one!
