So as part of my impending midlife crisis, I am going to a rock concert tomorrow. Planning on coated jeans and a black shirt but need earrings to make it all work. PLEASE HELP. Am forty and a tall size 10 (does that make a difference? Prob not) with a dark brown bob.
Thank you thank you.

Enjoy! Im so jealous!
I can safely say nothing has ever happened to me at any rock/metal
concert and ive been to many.
Placebo are fantastic!

I love Placebo! Silver hoops, end of!

You will be in the pitch dark, crushed in with thousands of other sweaty people. It doesn't matter what earrings you wear. Literally no one will be assessing your outfit. Wear something comfortable you don't mind getting grubby. If anything, avoid dangly things that another person's flailing hand or arm might inadvertently catch and yank, for your own safety. x

If you are in seats then hoops are probably fine. If it's standing, I wouldn't risk hoops or dangly earrings for fear of them getting caught on something/someone and torn out by accident.

Whatever you wear you should aim to look like you have not spent a long time trying to find the right earrings.

Haha sorry iv been to many rock gigs never have I concerned myself with my earrings. Nobody will be likely moshing or I’d have recommended not wearing dangly or something that could get caught and tore.

Love placebo please enjoy, I think Brian would be highly amused and impressed at your thought into your jewellery. He is mega stylish and beautiful imo reminds me a little of the lead from the cure style wise.

I’d look as grungy as possible, bed hair dark makeup that might have been slept in look lol, you will look amazing whatever you decide I’m
Sure.

I've been to see them before, they were great! Have a brilliant time!

I have to say though, nobody cares what anyone is wearing and if the stereotypical rock look doesn't suit you it could look like a midlife crisis.

Agree with pp, don't dress like a rock chick for a gig if that's not your style. People wear their normal clothes for a gig, whatever your normal is it will be fine. Dress up a bit if you like but don't dress like a character that's not you
