Stain removal

Someone splashed hot fat and tomato sauce down my beautiful Hobbs dress today. I could have cried. I’ve worn it twice and I LOVE that dress. And it’s now out of stock. Anyway, have attacked it with stain remover and biological washing powder but some of the splashes are still there. Is there anything else I could try? Really need a smart dress for work and can’t afford to replace it at the moment (and I haven’t seen anything I like anyway #fussy). Can anyone help. Thanks so much!

If it’s greases you need to put a dab of washing up liquid on it . Failing that eat it dry cleaned as that takes out grease better than any washing .

I should have added the grease is broken down by the emulsifier in washing up liquid . Wash it fairly quickly though .

I recently bought some 'it’s gone' stain remover and it’s worked wonders for me. They’ve got loads of stain removal videos on their Facebook page and I’m sure they did one for tomato stains. The Facebook page is 2Pure Its Gone I think. Hope this helps!

If it is the tomato stain that is still visible, try hanging the dress in the sun (by a window will work) as that can get rid of tomato based stains.

Leave it out in the sun. I have been astonished at the way tomato stains that have not been shifted by anything else have magically vanished.
