Wearing in knee high leather boots?

I've just spent a silly amount on some knee high boots that fit BOTH my fairly small feet and a large calves (Duoboots) they're perfect and I'll wear them forever, but I need to wear them in carefully. The heel rubs a bit but I know will give with wear, I just don't want to get blisters in the process.

Any good tips on wearing them in? I thought of the big socks/hairdryer trick but wasn't sure if there were boot specific pnes?

You can buy leather stretcher/softener spray (Clarks stock it I think or buy online). I sit on the sofa at night massaging the problem area of new leather shoes or boots! It does help to soften them. Put your hand inside and push and knead! Really! Also, wear them indoors for short periods before wearing them for whole outings.

Some good ideas, thanks! I wore them yesterday but didn't have to do much walking. Massaging them sounds interesting!
