Have you made any drunken purchases? Lighthearted.

I woke up on Monday morning to find that whilst under the influence of alcohol I bought a Lonchamps bag off eBay. I bid for it and everything. Don't get me wrong it is nice and I didn't pay too much for it, but I don't really need it. I remember looking at it but don't remember the bidding and paying. Apparently it is arriving tomorrow.

I once went out for a very boozy lunch then we went window shopping in very expensive shops. My friend convinced me that I deserved a £500 Fendi bag.

Obviously I need to only have cash on me when I drink from now on but this got me thinking.

What drunken purchases have you made?

Luckily these are the only 2 gaffs I have made in my many years.

PMSL at some of these, especially the yoga balls
I bought a beautiful rug on Ebay, it was too big when it arrived.
I thought I had paid £7.50, I had in face paid £750, not including delivery.
The cat shat on it. I had to have it cleaned and ended up giving it away

(Naturally shed) deer antlers mounted on a plaque as a Christmas present for DH.

In my drunken state I thought I'd got a bargain but hadn't noticed the postage charge that was three times the price. Plus it was HUGE and I had one hell of a job hiding them from DH in the mean time.

I drunkenly bid on a very expensive guitar amp for my boyfriend. I quickly realised my mistake so was relieved when I was outbid. I woke up in the morning to find that the winner of the auction had retracted their final bid so I had one by default... I was committed to pay 1500 quid for it, plus postage (it was in America). I felt sick!
Luckily the amp was great and he loved it. I'm still benefiting from reciprocal presents many years later!

My drunkenly addled brain recently decided quite randomly that I really need an elf on the shelf, even though my children are way too old to believe in Father Christmas and find the elves creepy! There is one now in a long transit to me from China (which hopefully will arrive before Christmas).

A £100 electric overblanket from John Lewis. I do love it though, it's fab and cosy.
