The perfect little black dress?

I am on the look out for the perfect little black dress to take the thought out what to wear on my rare nights out! Willing to spend up to £100 to get something that won't look dated after a few months. I am a size 8-10, fairly in proportion (i.e. relatively small boobs and hips etc) and would probably prefer something fitted but not tarty. Have been looking on the internet for ages (don't live near any decent shops) but can't seem to find anything. Can anyone help?

I bought this the other day. It is phenomenally flattering on me. The only drawback is no sleeves. And I may take up the hem an inch or so to make the length a better length on me. Really nice for the price, nicer IRL than on the website.

I bought a M, (I'm a size 10-12 top, 12 on bottom) I think size down.

Oh ffs. How stupid of me. Blush I was sneaking a post at work, and up most of the night with sick 9 year old. They’re my excuses and I’m sticking to them Grin

I’m also holding it up to the keyboard just for you thecatfromjapanGrin

Ooh. I like the neckline of that! It has drama and dress up-and-down-ability.

Last great LBD I found was a pleated trapeze-line from Cos. I know Cos has a reputation gulagwear on MN but it can be great. I had a look on-line but couldn't see anything leaping out at me. The on-line stock is slightly different from what's on sale in the shops, though.

... and I hope your 9 year old has stopped being sick.

I saw some nice black dresses on Asos. However, I like the Zara dress. It looks stunning and I love the neckline cut.

Smile thank you. DD is coming around but it’s a right dose. Night 4....yawn

Zara dress has a bit of ruching and it’s fitted. Seems to skim the bumps and saddlebags nicely and I love it. Great for the price.

I know that dress from Cos thecatfromj. It was fab! SO cool.

Do you want sleeves or sleeveless? I've had my eye out for something like this but not sure about the cowl neck.

I have a black ruched dress like the Zara one and it doesnt get a lot of wear as I always feel very/too dressed up in it for going out drinks etc
