Hello!

My 16 year old has only recently started being interested in make up - she's no expert and neither am I! She's got a selection of eye & lip stuff and blusher but is now saying she would like to try some form of base.

She's got great skin (so in my view, doesn't need anything) but I'd like to treat her to something nice - I have a John Lewis voucher to use so will probably go to one of their counters in the Liverpool one branch. If anyone can recommend a good brand that would be great - am slightly initimidated as I don't know anything about make up, but think dd would love one of those mini makeovers you get at some cosmetic counters. The voucher is for £25 so I'd be happy to spend around that amount but I have no idea if that is tooo little.

Also, I am guessing I need to ring and book an appointment - again haven't done this before so any advice would be v welcome.

Thank you!

usually for around £30-40 (depending on which make up counter) you can book in for a makeover and the money is redeemable against products.

I'm not sure which counters they have at John Lewis but maybe ask dd if there are any brands she has her eye on and then have a little Google for reviews and stuff?
