Ankle boots for a braced foot?

I'm really hoping someone can find me a pair of ankle boots I can actually get my foot into!
I wear an AFO (like the picture with an added strap over the top of my foot too) I am meant to be able to wear this with shoes etc but it's impossible. I've got one pair of trainers that I can wear it with and I managed to find sandals in the summer that laced fully open.
I hate wearing trainers, and feel I can never get dressed up or look smart.
I'm looking for black boots ideally, I don't know if they will need to open fully at the front, or be extra wide? Ideally a trendy pair would be nice (I'm only 31)
Hopefully not too expensive either as I have to buy 2 pairs (wear a size bigger on funky foot)

Is this an impossible ask? I feel I've looked every and tried on a million pairs and nothing suits.
If anyone has any ideas, I will love you forever!!

Would either of these be any good? (don't think they pass the trendy test though)

Thank you both, sadly those boots aren't very nice are they. I don't think the first ones would fit as I would still have to slide my foot in iykwim.

Unfortunately I can't wear afos like that freudian as I have dystonia as well as foot drop so my ankle just rolls.

Oh dear, looks like I'm going to get cold wet feet this winter!

Thanks, I did mention the piedro boots to my orthotist and he wasn't sure if I would get the right support for my turning ankle. It's a shame i can't try those on before ordering.

Sorry, It's hard to explain, I have nerve damage in my foot so my foot constantly turns in, my ankle rolls out my toes bend under and my whole foot points inwards. I need strapping over the top of my foot and around my ankle to hold it in place.

I don't mean this to sound insensitive but when someone has had a stroke and how their hand bends and turns.. that's my foot lol.

Rocket Dog boots have a wide top as well.

Trumpton · 04/10/2017 14:58

These might not be what you are looking for but they come exceptionally wide. .
You can get them vat free if you need them medically .

www.widerfitshoes.co.uk/sp+ladies-ladies-boots-chalton+chal7

Their service is second to none and although postage is £5 that covers 3 pairs of shoes at a time and free returns and deselection .

They are not cheap but are good quality.
