Light Work Bag

I'm hoping someone can help in my search?!

I need a large bag for work...carrying laptop etc. It needs to be lightweight.
A backpack type is out of the question...I have a problem with my neck and shoulder.
I don't really fancy a case either..

Kipling style is an option but again, not that keen.

Any suggestions. I'd rather not pay ££ either.

Longchamp Le pliage lasts well and is roomy. Not exactly fashionable but I chuck stuff in it and go.

I second Longchamp. I have a few nice bags but find myself using my Le Pliage every single day to commute to work as it weighs so little and looks reasonably smart. I don’t carry a laptop but do have glasses, sunglasses, book, water bottle etc. I have the Neo version with short handles and a cross body strap. Also great for flying.

Does the Neo Le Pliage have any inside pockets (for phone etc)?

I was about to say Longchamp Le Pliage as well. I've got the large Neo tote and the Le Pliage smaller tote. Great for work and travel. I'm using them in front of my nice bags as well at the moment, as they are lightweight and I just throw everything in. In fact, I'm amazed at how much I can get in the smaller one, and neither feel too heavy (unlike my Bayswater....).

My only gripe is that they only have one slip pocket inside which I use for my train ticket wallet (think same size as a credit card wallet), but I've bought a bright Kipling zip pouch which houses my phone, keys, lippie etc. and is easy to see when rummaging!

I love Mia tui. Really practical, loads of pockets and not heavy!

You can check ebags as there are plenty to choose from. Ebay and Amazon have several choices but I guess they're pretty common designs.

yy to le pliage
it's a bit of a boring middle class cliché but unbeatable for work. they carry an absolute ton. I totally abuse mine and it still looks good. they zip up completely without gaps so properly waterproof. Agree that the only downer is the lack of compartments, but you can get a handbag organiser from ebay or primark to shove in it.
