I want a cardigan that actually keeps me warm.

I'm going to Spain later this month. With a bit of luck days will be warm enough for summer wear but if it turns shady it can get a bit nippy so I'm after something that you could wear over a dress (style wise) but something thick and with proper sleeves. I've looked 'everywhere' which in reality is Asda, H & M and Apricot.
I'd wear it here in the winter too.
I'm so fed up of cardigans being too thin, 3/4 sleeves, of the twinset variety (ie short with round neck)
I just want something chunky that will keep me flipping warm. I have a budget of around 40 squid.

White Company... Pricey but mostly pure wool

Sorry, I just read your budget so WC is out. Have you scoured the sales sites for half
Price cashmere? It's great for holidays as takes no roommate but is SO warm

Thanks for the suggestions. Have ordered the Next cardigan. Oly I will have a look for some cashmere. Warm and lightweight is a good combination

This is a bit over your budget at £49.50, but is lovely and warm and soft.
