Best bra size calculator? (And nursing bra recommendations please)

Witsender · 02/10/2017 10:12

#3 is due in a few weeks, and my size/shape has changed a lot. Which is the best calculator to use? The only measurers near me are M&S who I don't trust at all so am happy with an online one.

While we are talking boobs, can anyone recommend any decent nursing bras? That offer a reasonable shape etc, I had Hot Milk in the past.

Thanks all!

This one is pretty reliable

I don't know about nursing bras though.

This one was recommended to me, I haven't tried it yet. I'm still losing weight so there's no point in spending loads on new bras just yet anyway.

Boob or bust definitely. They have a good fb page too.

I bought some cheap nursing bras from new look and h & m and they've been really nice, much better than the ones i had previously from mothercare

BluebellGal · 03/10/2017 00:06

If you are well endowed I can recommend an amazing nursing bra from Anita maternity (rigby and peller- but i buy cheaper on Amazon).

They are the only underwired nursing bra on the market. It gives a lovely shape and support. I know the recommendation is non wired but that really is not practical if you are large of bossom. I had no problem with wires and breastfeeding, in fact it really annoyed me that the midwife advice is non wired! It was perfectly comfortable (it was at least a week before I could put a bra on anyway).

Sorry for the personal rant but I don't know why nursing bras are so goddam awful, uncomfortable, unsupportive and ugly. Rant over!

Boob or bust. I went from 36F to 32H (somewhat disbelievingly) and I never get back ache any more, or sore shoulders from the straps. Freya pure flexiwire are really comfortable nursing bras

@Bluebellgal They are the only underwired nursing bra on the market.
Not anymore thank goodness! Freya Pure (with a flexiwire) has been out for a few years now and Panache Eleanor has also recently appeared.

Measuring is only a general starting point, the size and shape differences between even just the bras mentioned on this thread mean trying on is essentia.

marriednotdead · 03/10/2017 07:15

As is L. Essential.

BluebellGal · 03/10/2017 07:39

That is good to know marriednotdead - glad they're are more on the market. Freedom of choice!

Witsender · 03/10/2017 07:57

Thanks all, I'm glad to hear there are some underwires available now. I do need the extra help! 😂
