Please help me find this necklace for cheaper

Hope the hive mind of S&B can help me find an alternative to a necklace i've fallen in love with but cannot justify the £275 price tag. It's an egg shaped silver pendant. This one has a flat back but I wouldn't mine a rounded one. The pendant itself is 36mm by 25mm.

egg pendant

Thank you.

I just googled ' silver egg pendant' and there's loads to choose from.

MrsPeacockDidIt · 02/10/2017 09:21

Thanks. I did google before I asked on here but I couldn't find one big enough. The Georg Jenson one is quite large and designed to be a long chain. All the others I found by googling are small ones., like the one in your link. That's why i'm struggling.

They do a smaller one for £150 on the Georg Jensen uk site, or is it the bigger size you like? here

The large one is £250 at hancocks jewellers, not a huge saving though.

There's a Katrina Alexander one [[
www.notonthehighstreet.com/katrinaalexander/product/infinity-silver-egg-pendant Here]] for £85 but I think it is small size too, and not as highly polished.

Saffron Bells have a large one at £140 but it's a locket rather than a solid pendant here

And there's a few cheap and cheerful ones on Etsy similar like this

MrsPeacockDidIt · 02/10/2017 09:30

Thank you. It is the big size I want. Hancoks are out of stock sadly. The saffron bells one is too pointy and all the ones I found on etsy are too small.
The only similar one I've found is actually more expensive so perhaps the Georg Jenson one is the bargain price one lol. I wish I'd never seen it on a mum at school now.

Is that the Sophie Buhai one that's more expensive? Lovely, but yes the Jensen one is more affordable!

Selfridges stock the George Jensen ones, perhaps worth keeping an eye out to see if they have any discounts/offers on it the run up to Xmas, they usually do.

MrsPeacockDidIt · 02/10/2017 09:48

Yes the Sophie Buhai one is lovely too but even more expensive. I'll keep on selfridges although I'm not sure I can wait till xmas now I've set my heart on it ha ha

how about this?

Many Etsy sellers would be 100% up for a custom order from you. If you found a small one you liked the look of, I’d message them and ask if they’d make one the size you want.

HolgerDanske · 03/10/2017 22:17

Georg Jensen. Classic Danish design. ❤️

I would get, if you can reasonably afford it. Nothing else will be quite right, and it's a classic piece - you will be wearing it into your nineties!

Workingonthemoon · 03/10/2017 22:23

Custom by a local jeweller or maker?

everyonesgotanopinion · 03/10/2017 22:51

Find a silversmith and get it made. It will be much cheaper and exactly as you want it.
