Varicose veins question

Those of you with varicose veins, how long did it take them do develop/worsen over time?

I’ve just noticed a few veins in my legs starting to become really prominent and ugly, not full blown varicose veins but I think they will become so in time

How long from first noticing them did they take to get much worse, is it months or years?

Also has anyone had them successfully treated?

Watching with interest! I've got a clump near my knee (where your knee goes when you cross your legs). I dislike them now and am conscious of them and can only think how bad they'll get. Would consider some procedure.
