Where do you keep dd's hairclips etc..?

I can never find them! DD is 5 and I must have bought hundreds of hairclips, bands etc but they just vanish! Tried having a hair pot in her bedroom but they never seem to get put back in there. Mornings are stressful enough without hunting for the damn things hi & low.

So, where in the house do you keep dc's hair things and what in?

We have a tub with a handle on, a bit like you would keep make up in. It's just left in kitchen/diner where we do her hair.

Everywhere Grin. Both my dd's were born with full head's of hair. I've been looking for hairclips for years.

I keep some in dd's bedroom, some in a dish in the kitchen and keep an emergency supply in my handbag.

I have a basket with a lid that lives in the bathroom cabinet. In theory when they take their bunches / plaits / ponytails out before bath or shower every evening they go in there. In reality there are hair bands in my car, my handbag, the kitchen spice drawer, my husband’s cuff link box, every pocket on all my clothes I own and frequently on my wrist restricting the blood flow. I think I get a good bit of aerobic exercise every morning frantically searching high & low for a matching pair or “the ones with bows on” or “the other ones I like” or just anything in a school colour (they are strict about that 😫)

Carabiner for hair bands, clear pencil case for all clips etc

NC4now · 01/10/2017 19:24

I keep all mine in a baccy tin on my dressing table. Classy, eh?

DrSeuss · 01/10/2017 19:26

We have a pot upstairs in her room, a pot downstairs, a pot in the bathroom. The actual bands and clips are actually scattered over a wide area! DD removes clips and bands whenever possible, dropping them at the point of removal. I just buy a bumper pack in Poundland or Home Bargains ever so often.

I have one of these hanging on the back of DD's door to keep her hair stuff organised.

A tin. It's a bits and bobs tin you can normally buy around xmas time! Fits hundreds in.

I have a little pot on the shelf in the kitchen but they also lurk in Mia handbag, the car, my coat pocket, her nursery bag etc etc! I just treat them like they are disposable and only buy cheap ones I don't mind losing, I swear there is a black hole full of bows, clips and hair bands somewhere!

Tilapia · 01/10/2017 19:37

We have a little basket that lives on the window sill in the basket.

Mumsnut · 01/10/2017 19:39

Does no-one have a bobble plate?

(Look at Classics)
