So these seem ubiquitous now. Was thinking of getting a cheap pair but seems a bit daft at the start of autumn. Does anyone wear them? Do they stay on your feet and keep them warm? Any recommendations for where to buy that isn't Gucci 😀

I wore them in the summer, it's too cold here now for them. Easy to walk in and comfortable yes. Mine where light blue leather with a bow I think they came from either dune or aldo in the sale. I have seen the gucci copies in places like h&m but they remind me of my school shoes in the late 90s, it's the chain detail I think. I remember clinking down the corridors in them.

Not quite backless but dr martens? www.drmartens.com/uk/p/originals-shoes-arcadia-valentine

I suspect they'll be over before you can get any wear out of them.

I'm still wearing mine as although the weather is cloudy it's still warm, and I just wear them with socks in the winter. I have a plain black leather pair from Topshop and they stay on my feet well. I'm seriously lusting after a pair of the fluffy Gucci ones, but waiting until people get sick of them and sell them for a knockdown price on eBay, don't care if they will look dated I LOVE them

But don't they flop around and fall off your feet?

silkpyjamasallday · 30/09/2017 20:10

Nope they stay on perfectly, they get narrower after the toe joints point and taper along the line of your foot quite snugly so you don't have to claw your toes up to keep them on. I have some pink satin mules from H&M which don't stay on well because they aren't leather so haven't molded to my foot, I still love them but only wear then when I won't be walking much.
