Anyone had a smell?

I like it a lot but possibly it smells too similar to other Chanel releases (eau premiere, cristalle, mademoiselle?).

Also I feel the choice of face was a weird one, I totally get what they were trying to go for, the 90s style haircut, the "strong" adrogynous female etc, but to me it just doesnt work with Chanel.

It isn't a standout perfume like no5 or the cocos.
It is overpriced for something so bland.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 30/09/2017 09:44

It is very boring and safe, which I think will be the template for all of the big Chanel launches from now on. The interesting stuff happens in les exclusifs.

HLBug · 30/09/2017 09:53

Oh god, I disagree completely. It was love at first sniff for me. Love it.

SukiTheDog · 30/09/2017 09:55

Had a spray yesterday. Not for me...too flowery

Tameagobairanois · 30/09/2017 09:57

I sniffed it and thought 'that's ok'.

I find chance very bland though. All of them

Haffiana · 30/09/2017 10:45

It doesn't smell similar to other Chanels at all, although it shares some of the base notes and vibe of Coco Mademoiselle. It is a very well constructed perfume, pleasant and entirely inoffensive. Safe for office wear. It isn't edgy, it won't turn heads, it has good sillage, good longevity and also doesn't change very much in the drydown.

I expect it to be extremely popular as it catches the 'fresh and safe' demographic.

Same here. I think it's aimed at younger customers. As another poster has said it's for the 'fresh and safe crowd'.

It's no Coco or No 5 that's for sure. Personally I think she would hate it, the whole concept and especially the scent.

VeryPunny · 30/09/2017 10:58

Another one who thought the choice of face was wrong, but perhaps I am not their target market.

Cin3ma · 30/09/2017 11:02

Still haven't had a sniff, but I'm looking forward to trying it.

Reviews so far seem to suggest that its a 'safe' and boring white floral...but I tend to love this sort of fragrance Grin. Tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom...sounds right up my street.

IPokeBadgers · 30/09/2017 15:48

I liked it. But not sure it is special enough to justify chanel prices. To me, it is the perfect present for a bloke to buy a relatively new but special girlfriend....it is inoffensive and I think most people will like it OK.

thedevilinablackdress · 30/09/2017 19:09

It is totally 'meh' and will sell by the bucket-load, which is the point after all. I do like Kirsten Stewart's face tho, does a lot of their makeup advertising. She is less 'meh'

hollyisalovelyname · 01/10/2017 10:04

Unimpressed.
I love, love love Chanel Jersey though.
Sadly it is too expensive for me to purchase. Sad

QueenLaBeefah · 01/10/2017 10:12

I wanted to like it but was just far too flowery for my tastes.

ElfrideSwancourt · 01/10/2017 19:03

I love it- can only describe it as it smells of me- daughter agrees too. I have always worn Chanel though- Chance in the day and Coco at night (this is why it smells like me not because I sweat Chanel!)

dudsville · 01/10/2017 19:06

I haven't smelled it but I like K Stewart and the singer in the music and wear another if the brand of cologne so I'll try it at some point.
