Help! What can I do with these nails?

They're peeling and I've been using Nailtiques Formula 2. I used it a while ago and it was fine. Had a break when on holidays then this. I blame too many hours in a hot tub.
I want to protect them so they can grow out but I don't know what to do.

OPI do a protective nail repair around £20 a bottle but it works.

Decent hand cream I love aveeno

And GLOVES whenever washing up, cleaning etc

I would treat for a few weeks then pay for a food manicure to sort cuticles etc and also keep short while you are improving the condition

Thanks angle've tried Opi's nail envy before. It made my nails worse.Sad
I've got some Aveeno somewhere.
I must must must learn to use gloves.

I have the same problem OP, I have had since being a child. I don't appear to be deficient in anything though. I have tried every hand team, nail oil and nail product on the market by now and I always use gloves.

I had some success with Dr Lewinn's Renunail but it wasn't perfect.

These days I just do gel manicures. When I remove the gel the peeling is still there but I just trim and reapply.

I was wondering whether something like that would be good protection but I've never been able to put polish on

As it seems to make it worse and I've never been to a nail salon either as a friend of mine with similar nails was persuaded to have something attached onto her nails but when it was taken off her nails were worse

I have just bought 100 latex gloves in Screwfix so I can wear them even when showering for the time being while my nails grow out

I have same problem recently (no obvious cause) I've used sally Hansen Nail Rehab and it has helped

I used Nails inc A&E but it made the problem worse

I find CND’s Rescue RX brilliant, but you need to use it religiously. I have a couple of nails that have a tendency to peel, so I just need to take good care. As much as I love Shellac for covering up the problem, it’s still there (and sometimes worse) when it comes off.

A good nail oil like Opi almond oil should help, and gloves always for household tasks involving hot water and chemicals.
