Black ankle boots, narrow at the top

Any suggestions? I need black ankle boots to wear with skirts and dresses, heel can't be too high (I'm running around the office most of the day) but most importantly, they need to be close fitting around the top, as I have quite skinny ankles/calves, and look ridiculous in anything that's too wide.

Try Hudson, they seem to do a narrower cut. I have a pair of their ankle boots and have skinny ankles myself. Minimal gaping!

These are really comfortable and slim at the ankle, bit more formal though, but I've been wearing with cropped wide leg trousers and skirts in the office.

Bumping for more suggestions. Loved the Apisi boot but the black leather is sold out in my size!

We can't be the only people with skinny ankles??!?

I have the same problem OP but don't have a solution for you Sad, so didn't post.
I have some Chelsea boots from Jones Bootmaker which are narrow enough at the ankle for me to wear with skirts but they're brown and maybe a bit casual for the office.

I also have some knee highs from there which don't gape around my calves. They do them in large, med, small and xs sizes. Xs is great but hard to find.

Will watch with interest.

I have skinny ankles so go for shoe boots instead, they look good with skirts too.

Absolutechaos · 02/10/2017 20:27

I've been thinking of giving up on ankle boots and trying shoe boots as well. Any suggestions? I need black leather suitable for narrow foot and skinny ankles and hopefully something stylish and not frumpy. Not asking much am I!!!!

I like Timberland Venice park boots. They don't seem to look clumpy and the tops are narrow enough for me. I have similar issues with most boots looking like wellies and have always found Timberland, Office, Jones and LK Bennett good.

I have skinny ankles and find And Other Stories boots v good.

And me! Need comfy, sturdy flats that manage to look good for teaching in my third trimester...

Timberland and UGG do great boots for slimmer ankles
