Hypoallergenic mascara

Having terrible trouble with excema around my eye area. Hardly wearing mascara at all at the mo which is helping lots. But would occasionally like to wear it. I know lots of brands are hypoallergenic but have still found them irritated me.
Recommendations please

Have you tried Clinique? It's great mascara and has never caused me any irritation.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 28/09/2017 21:47

No 7 mascara are good.

Bare minerals is another one which is hypoallergenic but it doesn't work as well for me

Unicorn81 · 28/09/2017 21:51

I have sensitive eyes and no7 suits me, no itching or irritation

'Eyes right' by lush. I only get eczema around my eyes in the winter months, but this works well.

bingisthebest · 28/09/2017 22:05

Thankyou so much. Have worn Clinique fir decades but now irritates. Bought a no7 recently to try but still no good.
Will pop into lush tomorrow if I have time.
Thanks all

I have eye eczema and skin allergies and you might need a proper specialist product. These ones below work well for me in terms of no reactions or irritation...

Also there is a colour pigment found in almost all black eye make up that my colleague has an allergy too. I can't remember the name of it but I know that she uses Urban Decay mascara and it is one of very few that are made without it.

I'm super sensitive too. Body shop mascara and yves saint laurent false effect both work for me.

I find that any kind of tubing mascara works best for me

AuntyElle · 28/09/2017 23:13

NatOrigin is really good:

I cant handle clinique mascara either (I use Diorshow iconic) BUT this just makes my eyes run. I get eye eczema from some eye-makeup removers and heavy long-lasting eye shadows (I always seem to get it after having my makeup done).

Bloomed · 29/09/2017 00:56

Another good thing about tubing mascara is that you remove them with just warm water. I have one by l'oreal and I think blinc does one as well.
Peppermeant I had similar issues and turned out I am allergic to a couple of ingredients especially bismuth. I just look out for ingredient lists e.g. on Mac eyeshadow and that's helped a lot.

Peppermeant · 29/09/2017 01:29

I should do that Bloom thanks. I'm def allergic to bismuth, it gives me cystic acne
