Should I be using one (I just use my fingers for foundation and brush for blush). What do they actually do?

Also if you actually wash your makeup sponge it won't be full of germs any more than a brush would be, ahem @Pistachiois50pmore Hmm

I love my beauty blender.

If you dampen it first then it doesn't soak up much product, you just bounce it onto your face. I do have to use fingers to do under-eyes as I just can't seem to get it in the creases.

I have the solid beauty blender soap but Dr Bronners bar soap is fab at getting it back to its original colour!

So I am converted. I bought one over the weekend and tried it today. The effect is oncredible. I've used about half the usual amount of product, have nice smooth converage abs best of all the make up hasn't got caught in my flaky bits! Thank you all for your advise!
