I don't literally mean her makeup look specifically, I mean that classic beauty in general Smile

Have amazing genes?!

Branleuse · 28/09/2017 17:07

I guess you just have to look like that naturally.

Chestervase1 · 28/09/2017 17:08

Be born like it

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 28/09/2017 17:11

Make up your mind to be born a true classic beauty. Just takes a bit of forward planning prior to your actual conception.

Be born beautiful

Know how to style your hair in 1860's slash 1940s waves, usually achieved by setting rollers

Arch your brows into dainty semicircles

Perfect shaping the perfect cupids bow with your lipstick. This is almost as important as the lipstick itself.

Have a tiny waist and wear clothes that show it off.

Most of it is good genes/good luck but the rest is styling. If Scarlett was here today she could look like a typical celebrity with dip-dyed, razor-chopped hair, the thick brows, contouring etc. and wouldn't make you think "classic beauty" in the way that the old-fashioned styling does.

Killer eyebrows, natural bb cream, red lippy, blusher, eyeliner, and lots of powder. Oh and you probably need to cleanse and tone with ice water twice a day then at night slather on the midnight oil/vaseline. That’s what my gran used to do - every damned day.

Watch all of Lisa Eldridge's YouTube tutorials, then watch them all again.

I don't know what you mean op, if you don't mean her make up, can you explain more?

wowfudge · 28/09/2017 18:07

If you want to copy Vivien Leigh's look, it's features defined but not lots of obvious colour - pale matte base, blusher under apples of cheeks and swept up and back to hairline, eyeliner and mascara, but not a lot of obvious eye shadow, and strong lips.

oldlaundbooth · 28/09/2017 18:07

Er, say what?

StarHeartDiamond · 28/09/2017 18:39

Raving - urgh Vaseline on face every night! It might (possibly) help moisturise but it's too heavy for most faces - blocked pores ahoy!

Floisme · 28/09/2017 19:06

'Scarlett O'hara was not beautiful but men seldom realised it when caught by her charms.'
Margaret Mitchell 'Gone with the Wind'

Probably not helpful but interesting - well at least I think so.
