Work dresses

Looking for work dress recommendations. I sit a lot so need ones which aren't too tight on the tummy or clingy as my tummy is not regulation shape following having kids.

I also like sleeves so my armpits are covered if I lift my arms (so not cap sleeves or sleeve less) and not mini length skirt-wise.

I like colour and don't really like black. I do sweat so things like grey jersey are a no no.

Needs to be machine washable.

Looking to spend under £50 if possible.

Any suggestions? I have an interview coming up and want to feel smart and confident.

I like M&S dresses for work. Lots of them don't need to be ironed so that's a big plus.

Instead of wanting only a dress with sleeves could you wear a long sleeved T shirt or a blouse under a sleeveless dress? Then you can swap up the tops underneath to change the look.

Also check out eBay. You could get a Hobbs or LK Bennett dress within your budget and they are more flattering and well made.

For under £50, try wallis or there is a boden sale at the moment. Both have a good selection of dresses with sleeves down to the elbow. The wallis selection online is much better than in shops. I've just bought 2 work dresses from there for £30-£35 each.

I found a great work dress at Next recently. Black with sleeves and £35. Will try and find a link.

COS. not under 50 but often are in sales. Generally 55 so not seriously over budget

Sorry I missed the bit where you said you didn't want black Blush

bluejelly · 27/09/2017 21:36

(It does come in navy)

Check out tkmaxx if you've got a bit of time. My nicest and most favourite ones come from there.
