I have wavy (frizzy) hair and used to wear it au naturelle when I was younger and my hair was longer, I used mousse and a diffuser to encourage he natural wave/curl.

Now I'm older, my hair has grown during pregnancy and I'd like to be able to leave it au naturelle again while I'm on maternity leave. Problem is frizz. Even with serum it still frizzes, can anyone recommend a good product to encourage natural waves without making hair crispy.

Not a fan of mousse/salt spray/gel type products.

I have long wavy/ curly/straight hair. Yes, really! I luuuurve Kérastase Oléo-curl conditioner. I let my hair dry naturally, and when I want to emphasise the waves/curls I simply 'scrunch' it with my hands.

I always recommend Lush R&B curl conditioner. After washing & conditioning hair I let it dry naturally and when half way there, I scrunch the R&B through the curls/waves.

Aveda B Curly range is amazing. I use the serum & curl enhancer. Leaves my hair soft whether I diffuse with the dryer or leave to airdry.

I use Ouai’s curl shampoo/conditioner and then their soft mousse, which as the name suggests doesn’t make your hair crunchy.

I blast my hair with the hairdryer then twist and dry with a diffuser, then twist again to tidy up.

I use Redken No Blow Dry cream and a bit of hair oil on the ends.

I’ve just started using this after a recommendation from the apprentice washing my hair at my last haircut.

She whispered it to me as she said she was only supposed to be recommending the Aveda products that the salon sold!

I would never have bought it if I’d just come across it in the shops as it’s marketed as a black hair product so I would have thought it would be too heavy for my hair but it’s amazing. A little goes a long way but it’s completely tamed my frizz and held my curls like nothing I’ve ever tried before. And lasts for about 3 days before my hair needs washing. Good luck!

I've been using Cantu Coconut Curl Cream and its great - you use very little of it, and gives a lovely natural curl and calms down frizz, no stiffness or stickyness
