Trainers with decent cushioning?

Can anyone recommend a pair of trainers that would go with jeans, denim skirts etc which has decent cushioning? I love the look of Converse and Superga on others, but they hurt my feet as they are so 'flat'.

I saw some Adidas Gazelles and Munchens on offer yesterday, but again, not sure if they are too flat?

I'm fed up with my middle aged, sensible North Face and Merrell type trainers and wanted something less geography teacher. Any suggestions welcomed!

I like my gazelles they are definitely more cushiony than my old superga. I've also got a pair of sheepskin liners for a pair of gazelles that are half a size big - feels amazing if you are after warmth as well.

If you can afford a bit more than Converse or Superga prices.... Air & Grace do some lovely trainers that are specifically designed to be cushioned.
I have these and they're awesome!

I have some black Scholl ones which have amazing cushioning. I never want to throw them away.

I really love my Stan Smiths. I've been wearing them for 1.5 years now and they're battered. I just bought replacements (uhm yes with s) during the ASOS sale.

I love new balance trainers. Currently wearing these, though the colour isn't the most practical Smile

Adidas superstars are so cushiony! I live in mine

Also if you're a size 4 or under you can get them in the junior section for cheaper Grin

I'm a 4 so I get the junior ones for £50 instead of adult £75

Following - I need new casual trainers too. I have a silver leather puma pair which I would love to just get again but they are not around. I've been looking at the silver superga ones but they aren't leather, so good to hear they aren't supportive. But I don't want to spend that much ideally!

Apparently all of the Air and Grace sneakers are very comfortable (they have some patented cushioning). Trying to decide which ones to get myself for this winter!

Fitflop high tops - to the chagrin of my kids.Leopard print Cornish pasties that are like walking on cushions.I loved the sound of the Aur and Grace, but the sizing was minuscule and totally put me off.

Air!!

I think it's very personal. I hate my New Balance "fashion" ones (am actually really disappointed as I have several proper running pairs from them which I love).
I tried on some Sketchers in the summer which were fabulous. Really comfy

Adidas ultra boost.
I have such sore ankles I wish I could cut my legs off mid calf.
But these trainers make me only want to do that some of the time.
Life changing.
Going to runners need or one of the other runner shops where you are looked at and a few suggestions are made based on gait etc.
I wouldn't have taken the ultra boost off the shelf at £120 a pair, but I tried four different pairs and then these and felt a wow.

rightknockered · 27/09/2017 15:44

Try a pair of Nike air max trainers.

imjessie · 27/09/2017 15:57

Assics gel trainers for running! I have tricky feet and these are ok for me .

Rufus27 · 27/09/2017 16:43

I already wear Nike Pegasus (from Runners Need) for running as I'm an under pronator.
What I am after is a more of a 'fashion' trainer, but one that has some element of cushioning, if that makes sense? Really grateful for the suggestions so far - please keep them coming. Ideally shoes that come in navy so I can wear them to work occasionally.
