Have I found my boot Nirvana?

Stephanie Boot

Want a boot to put with skirts and bare legs but I've got spindly ankles, meagre calves and size 6 canoe feet.

It's winging it's way to me now. I'm very excited.

They're lovely, a style that will not age. A good investment piece.

We want pics when they arrive!

BadTasteFlump · 27/09/2017 12:37

Ooh I like those.

I too have skinny calves and big feet - I find that length boot works really well, though I hardly ever see any that aren't biker boots...

SleightOfMind · 28/09/2017 19:29

I think they might be arriving tomorrow. Will update with pic.
Worrying about the patent now though. Too shiny and try-hardish?

Very 60s, I like them, I like the fact that they make me think "Are they nice or are they in fact a bit strange looking!"...😂

Finery shoes are gorgeous. They are lovely, can't wait to see the RL photo.

EnidButton · 29/09/2017 02:22

Are size 6 feet big then? I always thought I had pretty standard sized feet at a size 6. I have skinny ankles and small calves too. Will check out the link now I've squinted at my feet suspiciously.

Paintbox · 29/09/2017 07:03

6 isn't big at all, isn't it the most common shoe size?

BadTasteFlump · 29/09/2017 08:39

No six isn't big, but I'm a seven (so not exactly huge) and have long legs & skinny calves, so certain style boots make my feet look like canoes. Chelsea boots in particular look awful on me.

Slim style boots like these are good on me, as are biker boots because they're a bit longer.

SleightOfMind · 29/09/2017 11:23

6 isn't huge but they're also quite wide and flat.
Top them off with spindly ankles and twiggy legs and short boots look all kinds of wrong.

Definitely hoping the patent isn't too shiny.

Ok, I'm underwhelmed.
Much pointier than I thought and I've got massive calf gape.

Lovely colour and very comfy but I look daft. Sad

Oh yes I see what you mean - bit of a Bay City Roller effect... definitely too much gape Sad

Paintbox · 29/09/2017 15:45

I agree that they're not right. I'm actually not sure who they would be right on or what they would be right with. They're an awkwardly tall boot and wide around the top. Sorry you were disappointed op

BulletFox · 29/09/2017 16:17

The calves look much tighter in the ad, don't they. Shame.

Search for nirvana continues!

SleightOfMind · 29/09/2017 21:32

Every bloody autumn I get my hopes up! I should really know better by now.
En avant et en haut!

I was watching this with interest! I too have skinny ankles and calves, and size u feet. A lot of boots look ridiculous on me.
Such a shame they didn't work for you OP, keep searching, the perfect boots are out there somewhere!
