Hair colour dark brown or blonde?

I've been dying my hair for 13 years darkest brown nearly black but I'm nearly 30 and thinking maybe dark hair is ageing and should I go blonde? I'm naturally very light brown. Is dyed dark hair ageing or am I being ridiculous? Should I go blonde or just a medium brown?

I think, when people say this, it is in relation to skin tone changes that occur when someone gets older. So you might start to feel the colour you dye your hair makes you look 'washed out'. But apart from that people of all ages have dark hair or blonde hair, for that matter.

Try "Bronde"? That's what I'm doing next week as I look completely washed out with dark brown hair and yet its my natural colour.

So dark brown with light brown and caramel highlights.

A light ash brown would look perfect on me but it's hard to achieve (I think). I have cool pale skin.

Thank you for your advice I just feel like I need a change and the dark hair brings out my eyes as they are light blue but shows every imperfection and dark circles on my face. When I see a blonde hair woman now I just think they look glowing and youthful.

Go for light brown/dark blonde at first. Your hairdresser will struggle to bring it up to blonde straight away anyway after years of dying it dark brown.
Don't attempt to do it yourself btw.

If you have blue eyes then caramel, gold or mist warm colours will make them poo - you can keep your base fairly dark and have Balayage, babylights or any sort of highlight or flash really

I always had very dark hair but I have balayage now. It's a nice compromise. I still feel like me, but a bit less witchy.
