Black patent....

Hi all, posted the other week about the Dr Marten sizing dilemma and got the 6 (fine with thick socks) anyway, had them on last night and knocked into a kitchen chair, just a tiny knock mind, bloomin' mark on boot now!! Just small but it's white and really shows. Haven't worn anything black patent since I was a child and had forgotten how badly it marks when knocked...these were meant to be my 'rufty tufty' bad weather boots so yes, I realise the patent was perhaps a mistake but I fell in love with them. Anyway, how can I cover the white mark? Permanent marker? Any suggestions welcome, thank you

I use patent shoe polish for my daughters school shoes, they sell it in Clarks.

I have patent Docs too! They shouldn't scuff to white as the leather is black all the way through on mine. I have some patent leather cleaner in a tube for Clarks. If I rub this in circles over the mark it usually comes out.

Hi changingshorts, yes the scuff is definitely white- only bought them a week ago from office so a bit concerned about that...will try the polish that's been suggested, thanks
