Bra Intervention - Getting it right from the beginning

DD2 has asked me if she can move on from crop tops to bras. She has just turned 10 years old and is in the higher centiles for BMI (although not actually overweight), so I thought her apparent bust was purely down to that, but now I'm not so sure if I've just missed the start of development there.

I've measured her using the 'bra Intervention' method, and she's 27" under bust, and 30" over bust when measured at 90°.

Would that put her at a 26C (the blog I read said that in most cases it's always right to go down a band size rather than up, and then it's a 3 inch actual difference, giving a C cup) or a 26D (same as before, but 30 inches is 4 inches bigger than the nominal band size, giving a D cup...) or would you suggest 28C or 28B?

I want to get it right for her and would really appreciate advice from people who know what they're doing!

I'd start with the 28 for now, she's still very young and has more growing to do.
The really important bit is to make sure that the cup shape is as close as you can get to her breast shape so that any wire is not sitting on tissue. You can always take in the band if the cup is right.

Would you not get her measured for free? Most bra shops do them for free

I would choose a non-wired bra for a 10yo, it's a bit gentler
