Wavy perm?

Attached is the hairstyle I'm working towards. My hair isn't quite long enough at the back yet but I'm nearly there.

My hair is really thick, and left to its own devices is slightly wavy but not uniformly!

Is there a perm that would achieve this? I know I can use my straighteners to achieve it but I was hoping for something more permanent?

Wavy perm?

No , that's done with tongs or straighteners . Have you tried the curly girl method ? You probably have curly hair if it's wavy .!

This is this style and colour I would like op. I don't have the same hair type of you (thin oily lanky)

I tried a perm a few years ago and ended up going for a root perm. It left my hair in poor condition and as it grew out I had still oily lank roots and an odd shape of the perm growing out.

But yours might be better hair to work with.

I did buy some curly girl stuff once but it made my hair feel disgusting!!

I can get it to curly if I try. It just doesn't look as nice as this!

I know , I have curly hair and I like mine like this . I have to blow dry it and tong it . It's boring but a perm won't make it look like this sadly . With curly girl you have to try loads of different products before you get the right one ( again boring )

google digital/japanese perm

Herechickychicky · 26/09/2017 20:49

Katharina that's what I want!!

Have you had either?

I did - I think it's basically the same thing. I had mine done in Asia where they're used to different hair structure, so while it looked gorgeous first, it unfortunately didn't last too long. But local hair salons might be better.
