I rarely wear much makeup unless I'm going out for the evening (lazy), but I'm 40 now and forced to admit that I probably do look better with a bit of coverage. I'll get all enthused in Autumn and decide I should up my makeup game (hate it in Summer) and then remember why I don't bother when I come out in a spot or two (usually on my jawline or below my lip) the next day! Anyone else? I don't want to get into a cycle of wearing makeup to cover the spots that wearing makeup gives me! I googled and all advice seemed to be for 'acne prone skin' - it's not really acne, just more like pimples/mini whiteheads.

I've seen mineral makeup mooted but it looks scarily possible to end up orange and sparkly!

Any wonder brands I should try? I don't want anything particularly heavy, don't really have wrinkles but have a few freckles/patches which are a bit more pigmented than they used to be. Skin veers between oily and dry so I may be a lost cause!
