Comfortable, stylish pyjamas

I have to have an operation on the stomach area and so need to sort out my nightwear as currently all are greying with holes! I think I will be in hospital for a few nights and then at home recovering for a while afterwards. I know I'll have a few visitors so don't want to feel a complete mess even if I don't feel like getting properly dressed. I can't really go around the shops at the moment as not feeling great so wondered if you ladies could help me.

Where can I order comfortable, nice pyjamas with a comfy waistband (that don't cost a fortune because I need a few pairs)? I know the Hush ones are lovely but they are very pricey. Ideally would love something similar in cotton or jersey without the hefty price tag.

Really appreciate any thoughts.

I had a similar quest for pyjamas: Uniqlo lounge pants are really comfy - and sold as 'lounge wear'

I wear them with basic plain long or short sleeved t shirts on top (I like H&M)

Good luck with the op

Thanks so much for your reply bananafish - I have just had a look. The price is certainly right. How did you find the sizing and the warmth? I'm a 10-12 usually but more 10 at the moment as been losing weight with this illness but thinking maybe better to go big for comfort. I can't stand being too hot at night so wouldn't want anything too heavy either, I have lots of jogging bottoms so don't need to replicate those. Thanks again.

I'm recovering after recent hospital stay for pneumonia and the one thing that made me feel better is comfy matching jamas! Oh and bedsocks.

DH rushed to Tesco and bought some gorgeous bottoms and tops, soft jersey lovely colours, you could go online. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Sainsbury's have beautiful pyjamas and matching robes. Hospitals are very hot so get short sleeves and shorts as well as longer ones for when you're home
Hope all goes well with the op

Sizing not too sure what would be right - I'm an 8, I think I have a S

Only down side is the length - I'm 5'8" and could have done with them being a touch longer, as the cuffed ankle rides a little bit high

Others on MN say uniqlo sizes slightly small, so couldn't hurt to size up

They're lightweight and cool - opposite end of the spectrum to a jogging bottom. I love em

Gap do nice soft modal jersey pyjama separates, eg:
www.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?pid=000844259004&vid=1&preferredLocale=en_GB&kwid=1&sem=false&sdkw=pure-body-lightweight-sleep-shirt-P000844259&sdReferer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gap.co.uk%2Fproducts%2Floungewear.jsp
Look for a code, there's usually 25-40% off somewhere or if you sign up to emails.

Thanks all, will check out Tesco and Gap and about to order a set from Uniqlo. I looked in Sainsbury's yesterday but not much in my size left although I did get a short dressing gown with 25% off so was happy with that. I love S&b - been feeling so rubbish and you're all so lovely and helpful! Thank you and any other suggestions welcome.
