What do you wear to an interview?

I have a job interview (assistant quantity surveyor) next week and I haven't had an interview in about 10 years so no idea what to wear. I'm a size 14 bottom, 16-18 top currently. Seriously need to lose some weight but that's not going to happen in a week!

I haven't either but if I had to go to one on short notice I'd wear slim black cropped trousers, pointy flats or brogues, and a shirt or blouse (not white). Like this on the bottom half but with sleeves and a blazer.

A nice tunic top over tight black trousers and bright pumps. (Is what I wore to an interview resently and I got the job)!

Mostly the QA word is small c conservative. Go for dark colours that suit you in classic styles.
That could be a navy dress, black suit or smart dark trousers and top.
It is possible to over dress for an interview but IME many more people under dress than over dress.

A smart dress, tights, ankle boots and maybe a jacket. My standard interview outfit!

I would wear a simple black or navy shift dress and either a jacket or a soft long cardigan. With medium heels. I'm a size 16.
Good luck!

Will have to wear flats as I have a foot problem (soon to be treated). Shirts are difficult for me as I'm busty and shift dresses make my boobs look like a shelf BlushI was thinking maybe black blazer, black and white stripy jumper, black trousers and black flats. Is that too much black?

PNgirl those trousers look like what I had in mind.

I like this dress but not sure if it's suitable for an interview.

I'm a similar size and shape to you OP and have just had my first formal interview in 10 years.

I got a navy blue trouser suit from next and worse with a fine knit top in cream and very dark blue wide stripes with red necklace. I wore with flat blue brogue boots.

I try not to wear black as it's too harsh for me (spring) so my neutrals are grey and navy.

It's so complicated, and I despise shopping. I may have wine and do some online shopping (although nothing ever bloody fits when I order online)! Sad

I bought this grey suit and a black ribbed top to go underneath, will wear with black flats. Is this ok do you think?

That suit looks very dark so I would probably not go with a black top.

I'm affectionately known as fifty shades of grey so would wear a pale silver grey top with a dark grey suit.
