I'm a complete make up newbie. I'm fed up of always looking tired. So I'm looking for inspiration on how to hide mine. So what make up do you use to hide dark circles?

JAPONESQUE Color Correcting Crayon, Shade 01 Yellow 3.6 g https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00VT24J5U/ref=cmswwrcppapi_dhQXzbF6GW8VX

This stuff is great, apply with a concealer brush if you have any fine lines, it gives good colour correction without being thick and doesn't tend to crease during the day. I then apply my normal tinted moisturiser or foundation over the top

If you need further coverage a tiny bit of this goes a long way, again it's a good coverage without caking and you should just apply where needed.

Interestingly it seems to be on sale everywhere which may be a sign it's been discontinued:

Becca undereye brightening. A little goes a long way. And I top up with IT Cosmetics bye bye eye - again only a tiny amount is needed.

I use my usual foundation then I apply YSL touché éclat on the dark areas.

ShirleyPhallus · 23/09/2017 20:15

Charlotte tilbury liquid concealer pen. It's so much better than touché eclat

BusterGonad · 23/09/2017 20:54

Dior skin flash is the bomb but I was given the YSL one so I need to use it up!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 23/09/2017 20:57

Bobbi Brown Bisque corrector. Only thing that works.

jeaux90 · 23/09/2017 21:05

I cover the dark with the yellow lemon aid by benefit before applying touché eclat. Foundation first. If they are really bad then a heavier concealer like erase paste but always the yellow base before the pink.

Fluffysparks · 23/09/2017 21:10

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, by far the best one I've tried and lots of fashion bloggers swear by it Wink

hollyisalovelyname · 23/09/2017 21:14

The new Revlon sponge ball tipped one is good.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 23/09/2017 21:43

Another vote for touché eclat blended with an egg sponge. They were a quid in Superdrug.

If you don't wear stacks of make up like me I would go for either no 7 faux touché eclat or the recommended on here the collection faux touché eclat which is pretty good and more subtle that the bona fide version

Queenofthedrivensnow · 23/09/2017 21:44

Dammit not the collection one the yet aldi one

CointreauVersial · 23/09/2017 23:26

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. We all use it, me and the DDs. Brilliant stuff, and cheap as chips.

Bluesheep8 · 24/09/2017 08:39

I use 'dark circle eraser by bella pierre. Unlike their mineral foundation, it's quite a solid cream, doesn't settle into lines and totally masks any trace of shadow/fatigue-it's amazing. Got it in tkmaxx as part of a concealing set for about £15

Pistachiois50pmore · 24/09/2017 08:46

I have quite pronounced hereditary dark circles and I think the best is Nars Creamy Concealer. It doesn't cake but it doesn't need any powder or extra work to make it look okay, which the Bobbi Brown one did for me. I don't always wear foundation or a full face of makeup so I need something I can also use on its own.

I used to love Shu Uemura Nobara stick but you can't get that in the UK anymore.

Bourjois Healthy Mix used to be the best on the high street but they have reformulated and I don't know what the new version is like.

Touche Eclat type things are brighteners rather than concealers - they're great if your circles aren't that dark but if you need something more serious you will need a n actual pigmented concealer!

Nuttynoo · 24/09/2017 08:49

Bobbi brown bb cream

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/09/2017 09:13

Has anyone tried the Trish McEvoy eye list? I keep coming across bloggers praising it to heaven and back?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/09/2017 09:13

eye lift

Pirisprinkles · 24/09/2017 11:18

Bobbi Brown corrector.

RubbishMantra · 24/09/2017 17:17

Has anyone tried Tarte Shape Tape? Is it hyped up a bit I wonder?

BusterGonad · 24/09/2017 17:26

You are completely right Pistachio the pen things are highlighters brightners and do not conceal but reflect the light off of the area.

tigerlil6571 · 24/09/2017 17:26

Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer

Northernmum100 · 24/09/2017 17:30

I would suggest using a colour corrector (yellow) first then concealer if you need to and blend with brush.

Rainbowglow · 24/09/2017 20:05

I am sure Wayne Goss has a great you tube video on how to correct under eye shadows.
