DKNY Bags any opinions?

Found my ideal bag but it is serious money. It is DKNY. Am I just paying for the name or are they generally good quality bags?

If has seen a black leather tote with silver hardware under 175 please link!

I am utterly convinced that DKNY and Michael Kors bags are made in the same factory and designed by the same designer.
I like them.

I don't have a dkny bag but I have a purse. It's really good quality and the leather is soft as butter.

My work bag is DKNY Bryant Park tote. I was flip flopping over Mulberry & others but it looks smart and does a good job. Bought for £150 ish on sale from Monnier Freres.

Depends on what you can afford. I prefer Kate Spade as her bags seem to last for years but you need to spend 200-300 at least to get quality. Not sure dkny is worth that much

I have a DKNY quilted leather bag- lovely quality.

I believe if you stick a designer label ( a la Chanel etc) on something people probably wouldn't know the difference.
A lot of 'emperor's new clothes' goes on in the fashion beauty business.
Didn't an ex top Vogue UK fashion / beauty journalist say as much recently?

Not Alexandra Shulman btw.
