what footwear with 501 style jeans?

In the summer I can wear my 501's rolled up with sandals but I have no idea what is ok now the weather is turning. if they are slightly cropped like mine are then I am left with the issue of them looking daft completely rolled down or having some ankle/sock thing going on in colder weather. Do people wear them with boots ever? I am really rubbish, sorry, but I love them and don't want to stop wearing them.

I wouldn't wear mine with boots as I don't think they would look right.

Yes to boots and yes to shoes/socks too. I've also invested in some coloured socks for wearing with cropped trousers this winter. Nothing too garish- khaki, burgundy that sort of thing.

Every summer and winter I forget how to dress for the season. This thread is a reminder to me to think about it in advance!

I wore them on to town today to see what would go. In the end I boughs pair of burgundy high ankle boots from Zara. They look fab!
