Emergency Eyebrow Pencil

Can somebody recommend a low(ish) cost eyebrow pencil that I could keep as an emergency spare? I currently use the Mac self propelling crayon one, which is great. However I live in fear of it running about and it often runs out rather suddenly! Usually I have two on the go just in case but I currently don't and it's led me to realise that I should have an emergency alternative that I can just keep in the drawer. God that was long for one simple question! Obviously I really need the help of an eyebrow pencil (thanks, 90s overplucking)!

Why don't you just buy another mac one?

thethoughtfox · 23/09/2017 08:13

Rimmel ones are great

GinIsIn · 23/09/2017 08:15

Rimmel is really good - I actually switched from Mac permanently

Foxglovesandsweetpeas · 23/09/2017 08:15

Agree rimmel is fantastic

Oncewaswho · 23/09/2017 08:15

Maybelline Brow Satin is my current favourite, keep one at home and one in my handbag. Proper dark brown not reddish or black, good staying power. It's a combined pencil and powder.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 23/09/2017 08:17

I love the Soap and Glory brow archery one. The colour "Brownie Points" is perfect for me. Brown but not red. It's about £8.

Jumble27 · 23/09/2017 08:21

Rimmel eyebrow pencil. It's the only brow product that I faithfully go back to. I've tried powder, gels and other pencils but nothing beats Rimmel.

And it's about £3 Grin

The Sleek Eyebrow Stylist one is fab - approx £6 and usually on 3 for 2 in Superdrug/Boots.

DD is a makeup artist - she once used a sharpie in an emergency. She takes photos for her portfolio and I have to say I couldn't tell the difference Grin

Rimmel for me too.

Love their eyeliner too- the one that is like a thin retractable crayon, can't remember the name.

MumBod · 23/09/2017 10:48

Which Rimmel one dies everyone use?

New to this eyebrows lark...

MumBod · 23/09/2017 10:49

Does ffs

Twoevils · 23/09/2017 10:50

Soap and Glory one is my fave too

SukiTheDog · 23/09/2017 10:52

Yes! Buy Boots Natural Collection pencil. I’m using it 5hese days over my Clinique one. They’re £1.99p. I have a few, in case they discontinue it.

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 23/09/2017 11:53

It's the Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof. It's like a thin retractable crayon, so no dicking about sharpening it. It does a good clearly defined line or also smudges nicely for a softer look (or if you want to look like Claudia Winkleman!). It's £2.95 on Amazon and if you get the black one you can also get it on Subscribe and save.

Seems to last pretty well with no panda eyes later in the day.

Oops! I'm talking about eyeliners, you asked about eyebrow pencils. Sorry!

Mine looks like this and says Rimmel Professional on it.

I have that one as well toomanydicks - it's brilliant - I have brown/black

youvegottobekidding · 23/09/2017 16:10

I second HippadoppaloppaGammeldag's recomendation, the Soap & Glory brow archery is very good. Boot's 17 Brow sculpture pencil is my 2nd favourite.

PigPaws · 23/09/2017 18:48

Thanks loads for the suggestions. I'd never have considered Rimmel! Will check out the Soap and Glory one too.

I usually have a spare Mac one but my nightmare situation is forgetting to buy a new spare and then running out and finding no emergency pencil! Seriously, my brows are bad Grin

I just got the eyelure 'fleur de force' one - it's not as cheap as some of the other suggestions, but it's double ended - there is a lighter and darker side which I find great for different areas depending on how much filling in they need.

Nice and cool toned too-I've wasted too much money on practically auburn pencils!
