I have found the most amazing jeans ever....

Spent years searching: gap, next, m&s blah blah ....
I am size 10-12; small waist but big ole cycling legs.... nothing has ever fitted properly. Any pair that has looked half decent I have had to use a belt to gather up the excess and constantly hoik up.
But I have found Good American jeans (by one of the Kardashians) oh my bloody good- soft; comfortable; so so wonderfully flattering. Thank you - my search is over

I'm short though and they literally would be under my armpits!!

Pastacube · 22/09/2017 21:28

I am tempted by the bodysuits but they're so expensive

AllToadsLeadToHome · 22/09/2017 22:32

I have been trying to find jeans for many years, for some reason the 'waist' is never on my waist, they are made so that the waist is below the belly button, these look the same.

Are there any jeans that actually are high rise, and not below the navel? Not skinnies.

I used to fit into Versace jeans in the 90's, and sometimes Levis, but not had a comfy pair since early 2000's due to the waist being huge or too low.

Thanks, OP. Had been meaning to try these but your recommendation has encouraged me to order a pair! Are you supposed to go down a size, as with NYDJ?

polyhymnia · 22/09/2017 23:14

I have slimmish legs btw, but big waist and hips (though arranged in an hourglass).

LoniceraJaponica · 22/09/2017 23:19

Laiste I would feel pretty cheated if a pair of jeans only lasted for 3 months.

It brings to mind the expression "buy cheap, buy twice".

My jeans last for years.

polyhymnia · 22/09/2017 23:29

Have ordered them from Selfridges now. Will report back. I too am unhappy at thought of jeans lasting 3 months. My NYDJ last years.

SweetLuck · 23/09/2017 00:18

lonicera I had a thread on here the other day speculating about why my jeans only last about three months, in spite of the fact that they cost a billion pounds a pair, and it turned out it was because of cycling.

MtbMagic · 23/09/2017 06:43

sweetluck - how did the 3 month lifespan of jeans and the cycling connection come about?
My old jeans have lasted years - dunno about Good American's yet. I haven't read a review they will not last long?

I used to cycle everywhere - cycled between 5-10 miles everyday, and my jeans (always Levi's or Gap) only ever used to last about 6-12 months at most.

MtbMagic · 23/09/2017 07:09

I see... I cycle miles but never in jeans...

But my leggings and shorts do wear on the inside thighs

When I see the words soft and comfortable to describe jeans I know they're not for me 😣. Why can't jeans have thick denim like they used to???

silkpyjamasallday · 23/09/2017 09:11

@LaCerbiatta I am a former pear (and will be again once I stop breastfeeding and I no longer have humongous boobs no doubt) with chunky calves and I have found Topshop Boutique boyfriend jeans are a fantastic fit and best of all 100% cotton proper thick denim. You have to size down, my measurements are currently closer to a 10 but a 6 fits comfortably. Not too voluminous on the legs either.

I also recently got some skinny jeggings from zara which are really thick material not flimsy at all, and stretchy enough to get over my calves which I often struggle with in skinnies.

LaCerbiatta · 23/09/2017 09:33

Thanks silk. I'm not a pear but i am curvy with a significant difference between waist and hips so they may be a good fit!

polyhymnia · 04/10/2017 13:58

OP, just wanted to say thanks for reminding me about these. Got a pair from Selfridges and am delighted with them. I like my jeans to feel soft and not 100% denim so these are just right for me.
