Wearing sandals for a night out

I know this is probably a really stupid question but I am going out tonight and would like some advice about footwear.

This is my first night out with a new group of friends.

The last year has been awful, but I have recently started a new hobby and some of the girls have invited me out with them tonight.
It is only a meal in a low key restaurant and some drinks, but I am looking forward to it as I have not been out in a while.

I have decided to wear my smartest skinny jeans with a shirt/blouse. I don't want to wear my smartest boots as they're not the most comfortable and we will be walking to the restaurant.

Would it look silly to wear some low healed wedge sandals now that the weather is cooler? They're silver and look quite dressy, but I have worn them before and they look good in jeans.
The other alternative are flat Chelsea boots.

So long as your feet won't be too cold, it sounds fine to me. Have fun.

I think that sounds nice. Won't your feet be cold though?

I'd go with the Chelsea boots if they are smart enough. Just for comfort and warmth but i always feel worse if I'm over dressed than slightly under dressed. Have fun!

I'm the same, would feel uncomfortable being overdressed and now I'm thinking the boots would be better as the sandals are silver so look quite dressy, and it is a low key restaurant and maybe a couple of bars afterwards.
Thanks for the advice. Sometimes I over think!

It's not winter yet. Wear the sandals! I don't think you'll be overdressed. Low heeled silver sandals with jeans aren't really in the same league of overdressing as a bandage frock and crystal platforms.
