Hair ideas for a wedding

I am attending a wedding on Friday. The last 3 weddings I have been to, I have been a bridesmaid so have had my hair done for me. What I'm asking is for you to find me hairstyle ideas that aren't too bridesmaid-y if that makes sense? I don't want people to think that I'm making too much effort as a guest who isn't involved in the wedding but I hate doing my own hair so will be getting it done. My hair is quite thick, naturally curly (although I straighten it) and armpit length. I like the ideas of plaits and then pinned into a bun or even a nice ponytail but, as I say, don't want it to look too "done".

That's what I was thinking. It's quite similar to the last two styles I've had as bridesmaid but I had flowers/beads in so I think I'll get away with that.

Show your hairdresser and they should be able to adapt it to suit your hair and the occasion.

Thank you, I think that's the sort of thing I will go for. I think it looks casual enough to not look like I'm trying to muscle in on the wedding party!
