Disappointing shopping trip.

Im 57, six feet tall, size 14 bottom and 16 top.
I order all trousers online as no high street shop stocks them. Fair enough.
But looking for tops this morning was depressing. I like straight, fitted tops which cover my arse. I love Audrey Hepburns cigarette pant/simple top look.
I don't want floral polyester ruffled crap. I dont want grey.
I'm not on a budget....but there is nothing out there. Or so it seems.

Straight fitting tops which cover your bottom are pretty long - that's more of a tunic, and might make you look a bit bulky. Have you thought about doing a half-tuck with some of your tops so that you leave the back hanging down, and just casually tuck in the right or left side at the front? Makes it a bit more interesting, if your top is t-shirt material or a light blouse fabric.

Have you looked at Cos? They usually have quite a bit of a clean Scandi look. You do need to go in the store though, as their website is notorious for making stuff look baggy and shapeless, with seriously depressed models.......

Kin by John Lewis also have quite a few straight line tops at the moment, some patterned, some plain. This doesn't cover your bum, but is quite an interesting look. What do you think?

I find Cos doesn't flatter my chest...correct fit across bust means it's too big on hips. I spent 3 hours in there last week Sad
I was looking at Kin today.....I wish more is in long sleeve rather than 3/4.
I'm retiring in December and need stylish but comfortable things.
