After another disaterous shopping trip yesterday I am feeling somewhat deflated.

I am very small build. Curvey with boobs and a bum. Not skinny just small.

I am really struggling to find clothes at the moment.

The only shops I can find that seem to stock an abundance of this size are low high street stores which are clearly aiming at teenagers. Which is not my style at all. To old for cheap fabrics and throw away fast fashions. Or high end designers.

Surely there must be some mid range affordable. Classicly stylish. Good quality options out there?

I tend to wear alot of bannana republic for work. So I guess I have always associated that with office wear. But other then there I at a loss shop wise.

Anyone else the same? I am pulling my hair out here!

If budget suits J Crew petite

Haaaarrrryyyy · 17/09/2017 10:22

newlook, river island, miss selfridge, topshop, asos, next
they stock petite things which can be good quality for occasional wear, the last four suggestions especially seem to last longer and asos sell many brands of petite clothing and next do some other brands.
it is a pain to find and there is a huge gap in the market for petite clothing especially in smaller sizes as most places still start at a size 8.

Reiss do size 4 and have plenty of stock on their Outlet section of the website if you don't want to pay full price for stuff. Topshop also do size 4 and although you might have to sift through stock aimed at the teen market, you can pick up some decent quality cuts that wash and wear well.

Thanks for the tips ladies.

Maybe I have been rather harsh on topshop! And should give it an other going over. Not stepped foot in one in such a long time.

As for jcrew, reiss & bannana republic. I buy work clothes there so always forget they do more casual pieces too. So I will give them an other look over too.

Thanks again for the tips!

JCrew is great for casual clothes imo. Also worth looking in their girls range - I'm a petite size 8 and have a couple of tshirts in age 14 which fit perfectly.
