What boots to buy this winter?

I'd like lace up ankle boots. Sort of like the Emmeline cherry DMs but they're just too clumpy.

Toast have some lovely lace up ankle boots but they're expensive Toast Boots I like the lace up black ones and oxblood Chelsea boots.

I bought these (in blue). They're lovely, although they're more calf-length than ankle length.

I'm in a boot hunt too .. are long boots deemed as unfashionable now? Please say yes, I can find any that a) I like and b) fit my fat calves 🐷
