Navy dungaree dress - what colour tights?

Bought a lovely navy dungaree dress, sits above the knee, I think I will be wearing it with a long sleeved white and navy pinstriped t-shirt.

I have a choice of chocolate brown mid calf boots or burgundy mid calf boots (both London Fly.)

What colour tights? And with which boots?

I'd be boring and wear it with navy tights, with either pair of boots. I have a bright red pair of Flys, and wear them with navy striped top, denim pinafore and thick navy tights. It looks nice.

Mustard or red or navy if you don't want to stand out

Mustard or red would look nice. I don't know if navy might have slight shades of school uniform? You'd have to try it and see

When I was really cold a couple of years back, I used to put a pair of really bright tights (purple or blue) under black ones which gave quite a nice effect. Bit more subtle than going straight for the coloured ones, meant I could get away with them for work (it wasn't a hugely formal workplace mind you).

Sounds like a nice dress, where was it from if you don't mind me asking?

The dress is Redherring in Debenhams and a bargain at £29. I am quite chesty and this dress helps to hide the norks. They also have it in burgundy, and I was severely tempted but will see how the navy one washes and dries.

I am not very daring, so navy tights it is. Although berry/red tights are tempting. I may do that if I team it with a berry/red top.

Oooh, grey, I hadn't considered grey. Although actually with my legs elephant does spring to mind

Will go shopping for some knitted tights. I might get brave and wear some daring colour on my legs.

Primark cable knitted tights are excellent..come in navy, cream, grey, Brown and black. A bargainous £3.50.

Where abouts do people buy their coloured cable knit tights from? I can find navy, black, grey and burgundy but fancy different colours or patterns. I am so glad tight season is here 😃

Housewife maybe it's my age, I would consider anything with straps over the shoulder with either press studs or with a hook over fastener that attaches to a bib front to be a dungaree/dungaree dress.

A pinafore dress to me is what young school girls where, basically a sleeveless dress usually with a zip down the front. But then I am a child of the 70's.
