I'm having a hard time choosing out certain pieces.

I've included some pictures of what he already has to go in there... Such as his cot set, furniture etc.

I need help with -

• What colour to paint the room

• What colour carpet to go for

As a general guide, I'm a big fan of sophistication and subtlety. No bright colours!

Thanks all Flowers

Make sure you buy an easy clean carpet. Ours are bleach safe and it's been a godsend.

ijustwannadance · 16/09/2017 13:03

A nice pale mint colour. Neutral carpet.

SnowBalls I don't like stickers on walls, far too much going on. But thank you Flowers

John Will look for easy clean. Why does it need to be bleach safe, if you don't mind me asking? I don't clean bedrooms with bleach etc x

Very pale mint sounds nice.

I'm thinking white walls will be a bit too white?

Not sure on carpet colour. I was going to go for what's in our room (as pictured).

That carpet is similar to what i'm going for.
Had pale carpet for DD1. Never had issues. On rare occassion she was sick I just cleaned carpet with a bit of washing machine liquid. If we knew she felt ill I put a big towel next to bed.

All white walls would look quite stark.

If I was decoratig a nursery with this furniture, I would paint the walls with Dulux Goose Down.

Id go with a neutral carpet (same as hallway if that has a neutral carpet) so that as they grow the room can be redecorated without needing fresh carpet every time.

I would have artwork like this up.

And I would have the ikea Strandmon chair. Id love it in mustard, but would probably end up being "safe" and having it in the light turquoise.

White plain blackout roller blind. Dark grey curtains down to the floor with a colourful tie back.

Nice white shelf above the change table and maybe a colourful basket on the floor for soft toys.

Ours is all white (new build) and we just have pops of colour with toys, light shades, ikea kallax etc.

Bleach safe means if you do need to use a harsh cleaner for whatever reason the carpet will cope. We had an incident of terrible d&v and the clean up took some serious chemicals as we missed a few bits. But because we had robust carpets it cleaned up beautifully.

NapQueen I absolutely love that idea!

Sadly though the theme is Peter Rabbit Sad
