I want: A very warm, waterproof, snowproof coat that will cover her bum and last all winter

Look at Didrikson, supremely waterproof, wind proof and insulated (or not depending on what you choose.

We bought two Alanas in the sale last year in bigger sizes so I can't tell you the name of this year's nice girls parka.
