Interview outfit?

I've applied for 2 jobs a bit above my normal level

They are 2 days apart & in the same office but possibly different panels

I can't wear the same can I?

I was going to wear slim black & white dress, red cardi (cannot find a blazer I like) black opaques and tall boots

But I'll need something different for the other one - I have a grey business dress but the same accessories is a bit naff

3/4 of my clothes are in a storage unit until I move house (day of second interview)

Help?
Oh yes & I am cycling to the interview Grin

I've just bought a couple of cheapies at m&s - about £65 each for jacket and trousers.

katymac · 15/09/2017 19:00

I struggle with trousers I'll have a look at the jackets thanks

Is this nice?

Fekko · 15/09/2017 19:40

I like that - it looks like a nice cut.

katymac · 15/09/2017 19:41

I thought that - with a grey slin work dress it would work

But black boots? & what colour tights?

I'm not sold on the boots though. Have you any smart shoes?

katymac · 15/09/2017 19:54

Shoes never fit me

I really really struggle

OP posts:
Fekko · 15/09/2017 19:56

What are they like?

katymac · 15/09/2017 19:58

They aren't great

If I see any more tomorrow I'll buy them - but shoes never fit unless they are velcroed sandels really & even they are dodgy

Wedge heel, cross stitch round the toe, knee length Sad

If they are smart and well polished then they will look fine - I hate to see women teetering is shoes that don't fit or thy they can't walk in!

katymac · 15/09/2017 20:16

God me too & if I walk in shoes that don't fit (even in the shop) then my feet blister & bleed within seconds!

My mum still has anxiety about taking me school shoe shopping 33 years ago

how about these?

I have worn that brand before

OP posts:
katymac · 15/09/2017 20:20

I'd have to check the colour

I'm not sure about a cardi .. I think a dress on its own would look better . I'm going for an interview on Monday . I'm wearing tailored sports luxe joggers with a blouse tucked in with medium high heels . I think the days of jackets are gone but equally a cardi is too casual .

katymac · 15/09/2017 20:32

I have these, I assumed too casual

Need something I'd be cold (I'm probably older than you Wink cardi & lace ups)

I'm 43 .

Fekko · 15/09/2017 20:51

I wear brogues a lot. Clarke ones are quite comfortable.

katymac · 15/09/2017 21:00

Just a bit then!! 49 Wink

I think spending 13 years crawling round a nursery floor has warped my dress sense - being in an office scares me a bit & it's a high up job!

I ilke this but it's not my size or price range Hmm

Honestly I would go plain , I haven't worked for 7 years either so I am very scared . I think classy and simple is the way To go . What does the plain dress look like ?

katymac · 15/09/2017 21:22

grey no sleeves (cold) slim skirt

OP posts:
katymac · 19/09/2017 17:20

shoes
jacket
& a grey knit Monsoon dress

Now I just need a bag!
