Late 30's - beauty tips (easy ones)

What are everyones beauty tips for late 30's that are quick and easy?

I am lazy about grooming but need to up my game a bit nowadays.

Have started getting hair done at 'posher' salon and have purchased some lippie that I remember to wear about 40% of the time...

Under eye bags and stumpy eyelashes are an issue as is slightly blotchy/uneven/acne scarred skin (not awful but not great). Am toying with buying Liquid Gold. Any recommendations?

I like things that work at night as I'm too tired in the day.
Sephora do some really good masks in little pots, you just whack one on after cleaning your face at night time and it will take care of the blotchy uneven skin.
For stumpy eyelashes castor oil is the business, again applied at night time before bed. There is a salon treatment called LVL which makes anyone's lashes look thicker and longer.
Puffy eyes can be caused by an intolerance to gluten or dairy, any other symptoms of that? Otherwise less alcohol and more water helps (boring)

Ive started using this:

www.boots.com/hylamide-booster-glow-serum-30ml-10193377

It does what it says on the tin, so nice, glowing (no orange or streaking), natural colour. Makes my skin smoother too 😊

A good haircut is an excellent start.

Get your eyebrows threaded and tinted. Adds shape and definition to your face and makes you look more groomed.

All the boring lifestyle stuff makes an enormous difference. Sleep, water, fruit and veg, exercise, cut back on sugar and alcohol. Add in hot cloth double cleansing, a moisturiser that suits your skin, and an SPF. Eyebrows and haircut also excellent ideas

Having painted nails makes me feel more together and groomed. I like short dark nails and do them myself. Not all the time. In between I use Nail Envy and a nail buffer to keep them smooth and polished looking.

Acids
Urea moisturiser
Clean nail polish
Threaded brows
Cream highlighter and blush

Thank you so much ladies!

Seems brows are the next thing.. Not just me decimating them once every 2 months with my tweezermans!

Im not too bad at lifestyle stuff - probably the alcohol is my biggest vice Blush - a couple of glasses of wine of an evening has become a bit of a standard at the moment.

Like most of us!! I bleddy love a glass of wine in the evening too :-)

jennymac · 15/09/2017 10:56

Me too! Don't think I am ready to give up my wine in the name of beauty! Having said that, I usually do give up alcohol for lent each year and don't notice any change in my skin so maybe my intake isn't enough to cause any real damage!

Underparmummy · 15/09/2017 12:05

I'm taking that and running with it jennymac!
