Hair colour to cover grey

So recently my grey has spread from a few strands at my hairline to scattered throughout my hair.

I have mid brown hair which I usually colour with henna caca brun however the last twice it hasn't covered my greys at all.

I'm thinking I need to visit a hairdresser to get proper coverage but am I looking for a tint? Or should I be looking at highlights? Should I be looking to go lighter as I think it's harder to disguise grey in dark hair?

What's best to cover grey in previously henna hair?

Was just about to come on and recommend Lush henna Shock How long do you leave it on for?

A henna and indigo mix is good for covering grey. Proper henna though, rather than the lush stuff. Here, for example.

Are you leaving it long enough before putting it on the hair? Using lemon juice to activate?

Leave it on for 7-8 hours but it just doesn't take to the grey at all! Never knew I was supposed to use lemon juice though??
